Orléans Photo Club
The Orléans Photo Club welcomes all levels of photography experience. Activities consist of presentations on a wide range of photography topics; seasonal challenges, field trips, and specialty workshops. The club is run entirely by volunteers and our aim is to learn and have fun. Come join us!
How to Join:
To join the club you just need to attend one of our regular meetings which are held the second Saturday of every month from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Notre-Dame-des-Champs Community Centre, 3659 Navan Rd.
When:
The Orléans Photo Club meets the second Saturday of every month from 9:30 to 12 noon.
Membership Fees:
$50 Individual / $75 Family - per Season (September through August).
Regular Club Meetings
The Orléans Photo Club's regular meetings are held every second Saturday of the month, from September to June (there are no meetings held in July or August). Guest speakers are invited to present specialized techniques on a wide variety of photographic subjects. In order to create an opportunity for members to learn from each other, members are encouraged to share their favourite photographs.

Digital Group Meetings
The Digital Program for next season will have a different format. It will consist of 2 sessions from September to December 2011, and 3 or more sessions from January to May 2012. The sessions will be hands-on, those who have a laptop computer will have the opportunity to bring them to the sessions. You will be able to follow the demonstration and attempt the techniques at the same time as the instructor portrays them on the screen. Assistants to the instructor will be present to help individual members. Members who do not have a portable computer are also welcome to view the demonstration and take notes on how to do the techniques. These sessions will be offered as part of our regular program and will not require extra payment. However, you will be required to pre-register for these sessions as to reserve your place. Each session will be able to accomodate 20 members.

Photo Challenges
The photo challenges are designed to stretch your photographic eye, to task you to take a picture that tells a story, to capture the image where others only do snapshots and to exercise your imagination. These challenges are beneficial not only for the photographer, but all club members as well.
